New Era Begins 8-15-10

First topic message reminder :

So the long awaited update has come and passed successfully.

As you can tell the forums look a lot different. Not only the theme but the sections.

We have moved the "Show Yourself" & "Birthday Celebrations" into "Get To Know The Community".
The site isn't 100% complete but right now we are good to go for most of it. I still have to organize the graphic section and a few other things but after that it is complete.

You may also notice we have two new sections. The long awaited Quake Live section and Modern Warfare 2 for Xbox 360. The MW2 section will be maintained and controlled by SCVroker7253. He is one of my friends that is a MW2 junkie. As of right now you are free to apply for any of the three games, Q3A, QL, MW2.

Already found some kind of problem with new forum...
Cause of required(!) flag part I can't save any change in my profile at forum...
This flags looking cool but on list you got only 14 flags (on world is around 190 countries).
Making this part of user info required (with actual available possibilities) is for me kinda disrespectfull towards pplz from other (then this 14) countires...

I wouldn't go as far as calling it disrespect....

As posted it's still being worked on. As of now we have added those 14, more will come soon...

well... it wasn't cool feelling to see it anyway...
no offence but wouldn't it be more tactfully to not force it as required till it will be ready for all registered members?

Well I must have accidentally made it a required field. It wasn't suppose to be. Also if you can find me a set of all 190 countries be my guest. It isn't easy to find a nice looking set of 190 flags.

probably less time would take to make it by self then searching in google...
if you want I could try to make few flags in same style as ones you already found...
it doesn't look like smth hard to make, just some simple distortions + light effect and saturation

Alright well for now I disabled the option. Everyone has been reset to undefined. Something is wrong with it. It won't allow me to add more flags so I will figure it out later. Right now I have errands to run.

A suggestion: keep the old "News" category, as most general discussion topics are retarded and have no place in the Portal.
