Ok so maybe a few of you might have heard of mozilla prism?

There also exists a modified version, specifically for QL. it also contains IRC (clan chat) grease monkey and a few other add-ons (steam integration, xfire without toolbar)

all i can say is, from double click to game can take about 15 seconds even on my 8 year old computer. And it doesn't show ads before the game (NO I AM NOT SUBSCRIBED!) so it has saved me £3 a month. Get it nowww


also, does pwp have irc? it would be great to have a chat

QLPrism shows up as a malicious program...

On what scanner? I will upload a video of it if you don't believe it... and i haven't had ANY problems

Google Chrome caught it as malicious before I even installed it. And I have downloaded many .exe files including cracked ones and never had that problem.

Also never said it can cause a hardware problem, they could be taking your information... not saying that is the cause but you can never be to careful.

But maybe the only information it could take is to do with the websites i visit? And it being a ql stand alone, that would only be www.quakelive.com? I'm sure you know a lot more about this than me. Firefox had no problem with it.

Well I am not sure if there is anything wrong with it but Google flagged it and it is from a third party instead of QL which makes it sketchy.

Google knows all, and Virt thinks he does, so I think I'm just gonna leave QLPrism alone and not touch it.

Well fair enough, i can't blame for being protective over your pc. One thing is, just because it's third party doesn't mean it's dodgy. Example; imminantfate's bukkit installer - unknown publisher, i think firefox told me not to download it. But considering the millions of downloads, i feel fine about it.
