The light shined down,
My life was fading,
I looked for you, I called for you
I seen nothing, heard nothing... I began to understand.
My pain was growing, I was being swallowed by fear,
That I lost you.
The rain would come and go; as I let my tears fall.
The feelings inside, I felt them go.
I just didn’t realize you where still here,
Catching me every time I fell, I just forgot you cared.
I was so thankful you wanted to stay.
That I heard you loved me anyway.
You forgiven me even had given me another chance.
To prove to you I was worth your attention.
But it wasn’t even about that.
You gave me life,
You believed in me,
And all you wanted was for me to believe in you.
To talk to you, to tell you of my problems.
So they could be healed like an open wound.
You where there just waiting being so patient as you where,
Watching the days fall off the calendar, still waiting..
Planning my life, giving me opportunities.
Allowing me to be free in this world,
Just so I can live with you always.
So I can find peace and live with happiness in my life,
Knowing your always going to be there for me.
