What is it with my generation that gives me the utterly crappy feeling that in 20 years we'll be running this country from the core? I admit I wouldn't know a single thing on how to make this a better place to live, but it seems like there's been a big breach in the learning part from our parents to us kids. We always go to our parents for answers, for advice, for life's lessons as if they are the fountain of knowledge. Parents seem to know how everything works, whether it be from paying taxes to fixing a car to balancing a checkbook. If you asked an adult how to raise a kid, they could probably tell you step by step what babies need, what a kid needs, and what a teenager needs. If you asked a young adult the same question, the answers would most likely be completely different. You know why? It's all about experience, and our generation has none. That's why I cringe at the future, because we have nowhere as much experience in running a country let alone paying our taxes. I may be wrong though. I know there are the few outstanding teens who take part in political programs and have been leaders of the Key Club. I realize this. But the majority isn't the same, and I fear the majority is what is going to bring us down.
