The Anthem Of The Phoenix
The night is still young
And this anthem will be sung
By the souls who hold their tongues
And we will be the ones
Take more blood with a gun
For a pointless revolution
Until another life is done
Then hope to see the sun
No matter what they think
The people will still sing
With the fall of a king
The one they call a fiend
But can't anybody see
That none of this means a thing
Under this moonlit ring
The phoenix spreads its wings
About the world and the many second chances it gets. One day, those chances will run out..and then the world will eventually be reborn into something new
The night is still young
And this anthem will be sung
By the souls who hold their tongues
And we will be the ones
Take more blood with a gun
For a pointless revolution
Until another life is done
Then hope to see the sun
No matter what they think
The people will still sing
With the fall of a king
The one they call a fiend
But can't anybody see
That none of this means a thing
Under this moonlit ring
The phoenix spreads its wings
