I don't get it, it's just you playing bits of Search and Destroy put to rap music. Is there something special I'm missing? Something worthy of making a video about?

I don't think you see the point in movie making, it just tends to be a fun waste of time for certain people. Its called a montage, meaning its all about playing Search. If you pay attention the kills I had were actually pretty good, with two 1v3+ clutches. And a few decent M16 shots. Instead of being a dickhead and trying to flame my topic you could have just ignored it and went on your way. But, seeing as you are just a dick by nature, I figured this was going to happen by you of all people.

Oh and not to mention a double claymore kill, along with a dropshot on a p90 jug n00b that happened to be the host and /ragequit after I killed him by ending the game...but I thought it was good. Sawll good.

And I guess you could consider ANY gaming movie "Just playing bits of (insert gametype/game here)" whether it is good or not. And if it's JUST a movie, then this dualtage must JUST be a movie too. The two best snipers to play the game... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=APPSJGjIARg but I'm sure you'll have a smartass reply.

Actually no, decent game movies are made with something of an entertainment value. See Hellspawn's Dojo, any tricks movie by Event Horizon or the likes. What baffles me is when people think other people are interested in seeing them play, nothing special, a good kill there and there, but still, nothing that makes me want to watch. Maybe a funny or very unusual kill can make for a good 20 second video, but 4 minutes of someone decent playing, nah...

People are interested in seeing certain people play, say Fatality or a renown player of whatever... and even then it's boring.

I wasn't really being a dick, I was just asking if there was something you wanted to show in the video, certain strategy or anything special, but hell, I see I gave you too much credit.

But hey, if making videos keeps your ego afloat, have a blast, who am I to criticize that?

I guess what I'm saying is that if the process of making the video is entertaining to you or your friend, keep on trucking; just don't expect me to watch all 4 minutes and go "Man, that was great!" when there's nothing specially put in there with entertainment value for the regular, non-hardcore COD4 players, like most people in these forums.

As if I was the one who made the video, right? I don't even have a capcard to do so. Actually, to be completely honest you wouldn't know a good player if they punched you in the mouth and kicked you in the balls. How do you think people like fatality came up? They played good, recorded themselves playing, tried & were obviously successful in getting their name out there. Which is EXACTLY what I'm trying to do. It was my first CoD4 movie, not only that but it was recorded within 2 hours last night throughout a few pub games that we played. How did you give me too much credit? You didn't mention anything that could even be considered "credible"...you sure are intelligent.

Well then why would you even bother to reply to this topic? Lol..

I don't think you know what "giving too much credit" means.

Also, if you want to "put your name out there" then maybe you should make a video that encourages someone to say: "Oh man, this video is something special, I am going to share it with my friends" so that the word does get spread. As I said before, making a video of you slapping together kills from 2 hours of gameplay (virtually no effort put into it) won't really be a hit with anyone.

Again, I made the first reply because I gave you too much credit, because I mistakingly thought the video could have some entertainment value I wasn't seeing because I don't know that much about Cod4, but from your replies I see it doesn't.

And the absolute best players are the ones that are not hardcore, the ones that don't use the word noob, and the ones that don't care about showing how good they are.

If the best players "aren't hardcore" then explain the top team in the world for CoD4 right now on gamebattles which is 104-11. A team that plays atleast 6-10 GB matches everyday. Should that not be considered "hardcore"? If you don't know too much about CoD4 then why are you on this thread saying that there were no good parts to the movie? With that said, I think you need to take a self-exam and figure out whats going on with you. Of course it wasn't one of those videos that stood out, why do you think I said it was my first video? A lot of times, first videos tend to be not as good as following videos. It was a test of quality for the cap card, and a test to see how it would come out with a little bit of editing. I'll make sure next time to not post my videos on this site then, I'll just PM/Xfire people who I'd like to see it so dickwads like yourself won't complain.

/End rage.

You are mistaking being obsessed with being a great player. There needs to be moderation to everything anyone makes in their life, especially non-productive things like gaming. I do know quite a bit about CoD4, and I was pretty good at it, I just wasn't "hardcore" or ever in a competitive environment, hence I could be missing something.

I did not complain about you posting your videos here, you're more than welcome to. I'm sorry I didn't receive your video with bells and whistles, I merely asked what I should look for when watching it. I was not the one who threw the bitch fit here.

If you make a video be open to all sorts of opinions about it, if you made it in 2 hours and put no effort into it, be open to the possibility that people won't like it. Not liking something is as valid an opinion as loving it.

Anyways, I'm locking this thread because you can't take the slightest bit of opposition.

Just want to add, a great player is the one you have the most fun playing with. He makes the game enjoyable for him and everyone else in the server. One could be unbeatable and have a fake sense of superiority and at least to me, and most rational people would agree, that sense of superiority makes him worse than the guy that keeps breathing into the microphone. See skilled quake players like classic and birdman, and compare them to skilled quake players like, say, Shini, and I can honestly say that Shini is the better player of them, even if she has like 1 less fpm, for the sole reason that Shini makes playing with her enjoyable, and adds more to the server.
