I Just got here!

I was wondering if anyone is familiar with any home/landscape designing software Smile ive been wanting to get my hands on something nice for a while now but i dont have the cpu specs to run anything too hefty... got suggestions?

Google sketchup for sure if u just wanna mess around with the looks.
Any real CAD program would get it done. Autocad, autodesk blah blah.. Theres not that much difference if you're just starting. If u need some calculations done use solidworks. Animate with 3d max. It all depends on ur needs.

Yeah AutoCAD is a badass program but it also cost's money, takes up more room on the computer, takes more ram, also harder to learn. I learned it but kind of forgot by now. It is a professional Architecture/Drafting/Engineering program.

AutoCAD is the standard in the industry, but it will easily run you a couple hundred dollars. Google SketchUp is your best bet if you're not going pro, mostly because it is free and easy.

downloading a torrent of sketchup pro 7 right now,
ive tried the free version at school earlier and it will deffinetly do the trick for getting me started and im certain pro will be what i am looking for. Smile thanks guys
