modern computers use all the same parts, even apples use the same ones nowadays
cpu- intel or amd
memory- ddr, ddr2, ddr3
video card- nvidia or ati
etc etc
you're generalizing too much, obviously missing how technology has evolved and how anyone who uses a computer for basic stuff (like you) wouldn't have the need to fire up an old 84 ibm.... all this just makes you seem totally ignorant and useless. just because you have a point doesnt mean it relates to the matter at hand as much as another point.

they are nearly identical in EVERYTHING aside from name brand, and one has 1gb more memory (cba to find a perfect match)
they have the same type of memory, same hard drive space, same type of hard drive, same graphics chip, same size display, same processor, ETC ETC ETC
so it would be COMPLETELY ILLOGICAL AND IGNORANT for you to recommend one over the other because of the god damned "name brand"
