I found this intresting

I went to my bank today after work to cash my check. I asked the lady why in 1 day i lost 155 dollars.
Well she explained to me how when you get gas at Royal Farms, when you use your credit card..and use credit, they only hold $1 dollar to see if your card will go through, once they withdraw the Correct amount..that's when you you really pay. I filled my gas tank up twice today. I was doing a lot of traveling.
NOW if you went to the Wawa gas station, they give you a choice if you want to use credit or debit. If you use debit, they correct amount is charged at that time. They do not wait. i thought it was interesting. Thought I'd share see what you thoughts or info about it is.

That's retarded, them waiting on the credit thing anyway.

They aren't waiting on the card. They are waiting on the upload to the bank from the pump. It can take up to 5 days for a gas station to upload CC charges and a bank to process them.

When I moved to MI from Florida, I only had $60 in teh bank, but I was able to get gas the whole way here and then deposit money once I arrived. It was about $200 in gas.

well when i first dove it was 1.15 for gas now it 3.66 for gas ....but why doint u just pay cash lol so much easer

Gas prices here are insane. The cheapest gas station in our valley is at $4.05 for regular.

Also its okay I went to a gas station and put gas before I went to Oakland for the Raiders game and like two - three weeks later it took it out of my account. Good thing I had that money in my account or else I would have been charged $35 over draw fee.

that's not how i meant it dude, with the oil fields being fought over by the rebels, the oil companies are being greedier about it and hiking up their prices in anticipation of a shortage (just a guess). my car gets a measly 14 MPG, so i'm probably going to start driving my grandfather's moped to save a bit of cash if it gets much worse. problem with that is, it idle-runs way too low.
