A pointless topic about a PS3 as told by Roachleader

couldn't think of a title for this topic... lol

i just bought a ps3 on ebay that's on a 3.55 CFW and i'm going to use it for homebrew. i heard somewhere that there's a Nintendo 64 emulator coming out for ps3 soon and i want my hands on it. if i didn't update my ps3 like a total fucking idiot, i wouldnt be in this situation.

moral of the story? $200 well spent.

it's not against the rules with what i'm going to do. no net connection at all for my new ps3. this one will not even touch wifi/ethernet.

tad, they are against the TOS, but since it won't be connected to the network at all, there isn't anything Sony can do about it.
i only purchased this so i could have a little bit of fun digging around in the ps3's hard drive and messing with it, and for the use of homebrew applications.

My friend done the same thing, I thought about it. I'd rather just get an Xbox 360 and pirate the games. Then I figured i'd rather upgrade my pc even more. I'm pro like that.

nothing's wrong with it.

came in today, spent 3 hours setting it up the way i wanted it with homebrew apps. it's running Rebug 3.55 CFW

Current Apps:
MultiMan 2 (backup manager/etc.)
OpenPS3FTP (FTP server)
VBA (gameboy advance emulator)

and tomorrow i'll probably be screwing around with debug settings pretty much all day. xD got so much to figure out :S

reason it cost 3 hours of time was because i was originally trying to install blackb0x ftp and it wouldnt work :/
