Food for thought

last night i was board and started to think about what would help pwp

i came up with one idea that could work if some people where interested in doing so.

i was thinking that pwp should make a recruitment clan.
i think you know what a recruitment clan is but for those who dont know
all it is is a clan that is controled by a larger one the larger clan is there for support and public intrest. the smaller clan gives the larger one to get more experenced players and the larger one recruits from the smaller.

please think it over and if you like the idea and tell me problems and resolutions i missed. thank you

well as most of u know azu and i made albert club and maybe we could use that to help aswell...

yup, i agree with buck.

I was thinkin, since we made Alberts, maybe we could use the Alberts Tags to scrim with people to train with them, without usin pwp tags. So we might not lose our face when losin a scrim.
And when we get better we will tag up pWp and pwn ppl!

to me.. I think that albert "club" is kinda too big... I would take like a team of 3 person or so to recruit ppl and scrim

He means like a pWp elementary school.

Take noobs, teach 'em the basics, let 'em improve and then let 'em go for pWp.

i like the idea, but not the albert club.... cuz most of the alberts will already be in clans.... since its mostely the kool people in quake xD

yea let people be albert forawhile and let them scrim with us under our albert names and then when we feel that they are good enough they can wear pwp tags and scrim with pwp i think thats a great idea!!!!

and we can easily fix that cause as of now only 2 other people from other clans are in...xD

the alberts could be it i guess but i was thinking putting some of the newer people in leading roles to check leadership qualitys too.

that could be pretty cool!

i see what ur saying and we could just have a couple admins to help maintain site... we could have a system like pwp's new system with leaders and co-leaders etc....

yeah... but would that be considered a second clan? haha

depends on how u look at it but i still think that it would be wise b/c what if some of pwp leaders or co-leaders have to quit for some reason...then we would have others that are well qualified...O.O

When skilled enough, PWP minors are converted into PWP Majors(PWP, as it is now)?

Something like that. Like a Helluva lot longer tryout/training session? Boot camp?
Sounds like its a good Idea to keep PWP on top form and create a better screening process for incoming members. It wouldnt turn away unskilled players but actually Make them Better! And you could even: say fo instance, When PwP is interested in new members, You whip out this idea for about (2-4weeks) max? At the end, The officers and T@D screen the results and chooses who gets in.(of course based on their choices alone. and when you feel content with the members you can shut it down until the newbies adjust and you want more members.of course, thats just a thought.

Only thing I am worried about is..........


It sounds like we are looking to recruit "Skilled" players for the clan. Although I am all for having ppl who are good at the gmae, *pWp*'s main concern has been and always will be personallity. We dont care how good you are at quake, we care how good you are for *pWp*.

Well..no offense to anyone's opinion. But...that sounds like a g0d thing..I mean..yeah..you know? Not trying to be destructive. It just seems, I ono..weird. Not the pWp clan thing to do. That just isn't "us"

I hear ya! It IS a bit complicated, and pretty much useless, so far, the clan is perfect the way is; good people and plenty of Trash-talk! :}

I talked to buck a little bit about it and heres what I think may work....see what you think.

Being an invite only clan now, no random person can just post to join. They have to know atleast 1 person if not more in teh clan to even get a sponsor. This is what I tried when gunner got his topic.

Allow him to scrim with *pWp* members in official scrims. Name wise, we have him change his name to our format (White name with 1 accent color) without using the *pWp* tags. This would be a "level 1 member". Level 2 would be the trial stage. Depending on how things go and how they are fitting in, and doing a background check....they will be on trials to see how well they fit in.


Level 3 would be full member.

I can add more, but lets see what u all think about it so far.

It sounds good T@D, I know what you mean about it looking like skill is what it's all about. I see a few things that make it seem that way, even though it's not.

I support and back your idea 100% man, hopefully it works the way we want, and keeps others from getting the wrong idea.
