I've gotten fmle/vhscrcap/shiftwindow to be able to capture q3/ql in fullscreen with only a minor fps hit, and i'll be streaming random ql pugs/#uscpmpickup games whenever i play. however, it does make me warp a bit so i will only stream team games and not duels. also, because i have fairly slow upload speed, the resolution and bitrate is rather low. you've been warned.

visit my channel @ twitch.tv/rushzor . you can also look through my vods to see me testing out the settings so you get an idea of what it'll look like when i do it live.

as far as sound goes, because i use a usb headset (if i didn't there wouldn't be an issue), if i feed my mic input in it delays the sound on the stream by a good second behind the video. thus, ill only do commentary if requested.

if any of you are interested in learning how to do this, have two monitors, and higher than 2mb upload, reply in this thread, pm me, or query me on irc (/q rush_9000 on irc.quakenet.org or irc.gamesurge.net) and ill help you set it up.

If it has VOD, is there a cap limit? Or can you basically upload as many games as you like?...or are they local. (Which wouldn't make sense anyway)

Also, I assume this isn't quake only...so I wouldn't mind getting some info on it. May be interesting.

no, it only saves vods for a week unless you mark them to be saved or you're a twitch partner (i.e. you stream for money)

yes, you can

you can set fmle to record a local file as well, but that requires much more processing power

you can do it with pretty much any game in existence. it was just until recently that opengl support has been put in for the broadcasting software.
