Awaiting Your Arrival
Written By: Jacob Goodin
It half past noon,
On a Sunday morning,
Time to say good bye to the stars and moon,
And the nights of endless snoring.
As the light is coming alive,
The sun shines through my eyes.
It’s that day, the day of your arrival.
Now I have no time to lose,
There are so many things I have to do,
All the little steps, have taken me awhile.
But I become closer to you.
Lost within myself,
Trying to make things right once more,
All these feelings have overwhelm me,
As I open the door.
It’s that time again,
In seek of true love,
Should I try to listen?
My heart always knew it was.
Closer now then I have ever been,
Back to the same old setting,
And the familiar grin.
I have not changed how I feel inside,
As you always had a place in my heart,
This is how I reside.
Lately I’ve been falling apart,
Hoping one day you would come back to me,
So I don’t have be living in a day dream.
I want to be there for you,
As you were always there for me,
I know I’ve taken things for granted,
But please forgive me,
The day of your arrival,
Could soon be my reality,
But my wish is that only if you could see.
