Only One

I woke up and realized I was living my last day.
Now I stand here with nothing left to say.
Take me away, and carry me home,
I don’t want to be here no more.
I had so many stories about my life,
Trying to make it through another night,
Watching it eat me up inside,
Seeing reflections of you fall from my eyes.
What was I going to say?
Thinking about that lonely day.
How was I supposed to make you feel?
Knowing this time it was for real.
You’ve taken my love for granted and never knew,
What life could have brought both mean and you…
But that’s all said and done,
And thanks to you,
I’m only one.
Looking back now when I had everything,
Back when I could hear your voice sing.
Inside of me, my heart still remained beating,
I thought you set me free, but now it seems I was dreaming.
I sit here with a frown,
Because you’ve decided to not be around.
But I know deep within my heart,
I should forgive you.
If you happy where you are,
I am happy for you,
I know I can’t change who you want to be,
But I was happy you spent the time with me.
Still I stand here wishing upon the stars,
Wishing I could be with you, held by your arms.
Please tell me why did it have to be like this?
Could I change the way you now feel?
Being without you wasn’t my wish,
I’m awoken from sleep, now living the real.
