A Much Brighter Day

Little did I know,
You would take my breathe away,
I was solid as a stone,
Until I met you on that day.
Walking through fields of flowers,
Red roses to be exact,
Blooming all around me,
My feelings still intact.
A smile to make a war end,
To make the day that much brighter.
I'm feeling more alive within.
You reminded me how life can be better.
Every second takes away,
Another chance I spent it with you.
Just until we meet again someday,
I shall always remember you.
All the fun we had,
Good times we shared,
Life can pass you by, so don't be sad.
This distance can be tough to bare.
I hold something inside,
Rare as a snowflake in summer,
I just wanted to look in your eyes,
And know who you are for sure.
Looking back into mine,
We're losing track of time,
But it doesn't matter now,
Because we always wear a smile,
And not a frown.
