Bipartisan Affection

As I drop a tear into this puddle I created,
I can no more feel the noise I heard before.
The laughter, the silence, from her lungs
It drops me like a careless stone into the tumid river.
Days I shall spend, surpassing my mistakes.
Kissing the ground and begging for forgiveness,
All for naught in her beautiful, sentimental eyes.
This colature I prescribed myself, so burdening.
Distant as I may be from the past I selfishly ventured,
The memory unfolds through a distant light...

A sharp pain resides forever in the epitome of my soul,
But a new feeling shines its way across my face.
I am a man! I am a human! I am me!
I take the wings that have been hidden for so long
And use them to fly to the greatest heights!
I have found you, my dear, I have found you!
To this day I shall never be more than myself,
I can never be more than who I am,
And I can never be less than who I was.
The shadows have rescinded backwards,
Leaving me able to comfort you, to oblige to you.
As I should have done previously with my past affairs
I shall bestow these new creations unto you.
In due time, we may finally be free.
