The Glass

The Glass.

Theres a glass that I see
That sits right before me.
Is the glass half full?
Or is it half empty?
Theres water on bottom
Theres air on the top.
Who poured in this glass?
And why did they stop?
Did they run out of water?
Did they lose all their care?
Was the want to fill up,
not even there?
What about the glass?
Does it want to be half?
Do other full glasses
Just sit there and laugh?
Do the other glasses
Have what they need?
Does filling a glass
Make it complete?
I believe that it does,
The glass needs a fill.
But it cant do it alone,
no matter it's will.
Do you hold the key,
to fill up my glass.
To fill to the top,
with something that lasts.
The glass in my story
has been from the start.
Not really a glass,
But alas,
It's my heart.

I meant no one else..

but, it's a good poem. The rhyming is very good, the metaphors are easily understandable, and the overall sequence of the story-telling leads to a good symbolic ending.

I actually think it's very good. It didn't break the one rule most poem's these days break. The rule being it's actually a poem and not a slightly similar sentences.
