Answer these questions without cheating and looking on google or looking at others answers.

1. If you were in a remote cabin and went to bed at 8:00 at night and set the old wind-up alarm clock to wake you up at 9:00 in the morning, how long would you sleep before the alarm woke you up?

2. Why can't a man living in Winston Salem, NC be buried west of the Mississippi River?

3. If you had only one match and entered a room in which there was a kerosene lamp, an oil heater, and a wood-burning stove, which would you light first?

4. How many birthdays does the average human have?

5. Some months have 30 days, others have 31. How many have 28 days?

6. If a doctor gave you three pills and told you to take one every half hour, how long would they last?

7. A man builds a house with four sides. Each side has a northern exposure. A bear comes along. What color is the bear?

8. How far can a dog run into the woods?

9. I have in my hand two U.S. coins which total 55 cents. One is not a nickel. Please bear this in mind. What are the two coins I have in my hand?

10. A farmer has 19 sheep, all but nine die. How many does he have left?

11. How many animals did Moses take aboard the ark?

12. What word looks the same upside down and backwards?

TOO EASY, heres some challenging ones from my friend's computer job interviews

1) You have 25 horses, your goal is the find the fastest, 2nd fastest and the 3rd fastest.
You may not use a timer. The only way to find out is by comparing them in races and using the results.
You have 7 races, where a maximum of 5 horses are allowed in each race.
How would u go about finding the 1st, 2nd and the 3rd?
(i think this qusetion was from MIcrosoft hiring)

2) You have 3 ropes. Now these 3 ropes are of different length. The entire rope A burns in 60 minutes, B in 40 min and C in 20 minutes. Now the ropes have are weird, they dont burn at a steady rate, for example if you folded rope A in half, one half may burn up in 5 minutes, while the other half will take 55 minutes to burn up.

You need to find piece rope(s) that amount to approximately 15 minutes time.

critical thinking >;o not lab experiments
u probably wanna use a paper and draw a 5 x 5 grid of dots for the first one

2nd one is way easier
