Well I was strumming along the forums here and I found this topic that I thought was pretty cool, but weird to have in a clan forum. Still, I got to thinking and decided to post a poem here I wrote a while back that was sort of inspired by something I experienced at my job. It's kind of sissy and i'm not sure why I'm doing it, probably the late night, last beer combination, but whatever, poke all the fun you want.
Courage
She kneels, unable to move
As she watches the warm red pour from him
She fights back the tears
But she cannot stop the brewing brim
Eventually the floodgates open
And out rushes the blue
When his heart is finally empty
She thinks what she sees can't be true
She holds her head up high
Resolution in her eye
She leaves him to rest peacefully
In a pool of purple
Not a lot of people get it, but if there are any fellow writers out there, they might appreciate it.
