I don't know about there, but I don't believe you have to pay tax on steam. I could be wrong though.

Nope. No tax, here atleast, on Steam purchases. They are not based in Michigan, so they can not charge tax since it's interstate commerce.

I went to go buy it and I forgot my steam account password. Go to forgot password and it gives me an error. Says 'steam cannot process your request, try again later' googled it I guess a lot of people have this problem and that they haven't fixed it for over a year. So guess I lost my steam account.

Says u were online 11 hours ago. Did it ask for your pass to buy it or are u using a different name?

And their servers are having a problem atm. It may not be the issue you looked up, I had a server error as well in general.

Well I was online but I needed to log on to buy the game and I forgot the password so I logged out of my account in hopes to go forgot password and send a new one to my email but then I was getting the error message. I will re-install steam and try it again.
