Becoming

There is no limitation to what we can become.
Been only one week, and I know where I belong.
Being next to you is all I want to do.
Feeling your warmth upon my skin,
I feel you tugging on my heart within.
I go in a new direction, reassurance from your eyes.
Hoping that every day, we will have more time.
Until I lay my head down at night,
I stand up for our love; I won’t go down without a fight.
I don’t feel so alone, but I’ve been so…
I always want you next to me; I never want to see you go.
But I have to be patient, as that’s what love is.
I can find the ways to make it through,
To seek out your love, to find it within you.
But time is against us, slowly taking away… another day.
