New Theme (For Real) - November 25, 2011

First topic message reminder :

Not to long ago (Mar 16, 2011 to be exact) I posted a topic of a new theme coming, which got you all excited but only to be let down as it has been a while now since that new theme update.

Well guess what? A new theme IS coming. I am currently in the process of making it and it is taking a long time to do but it will be clean.

With this new theme we will be switching away from phpBB to punBB. Now don't get to excited we are still stuck with Forumotion but we will be changing this up a bit. The basic stuff will stay the same but the boards will be cleaner as I mentioned before. I've been working a lot on modifying the forums templates and have a vision that I hope I can complete.

Unlike this theme it will be a lot brighter

Now I wont revel any screenshots or anything because I want it to be a surprise (the look that is) but I will show you the color scheme I am using. If I can figure out how to add a theme switcher then it will be different colors.

Well it is somewhat the same but there are a lot of forums hidden to non-members.

On top of that we have the ref section/ps contest section that only specific people can see.

Yeah, I barely notice those too..

i don't really navigate to topics much, i just use the portal or my email notifications. But yeah, a js nav bar would be a great idea!

Phew... well the two are pretty much the same. And by the way your arse is so fat your cheeks flap without you having to shake your body ;P :p

Grrr.. I have it mostly done but it isn't complete yet. I can release it just not to happy with it lol.

But since it should be here by now I will show you what it looks like. If you want me to release it let me know. I need to add some graphics though.

ooh i like the recent topic bar. Expect them all the have my name on the end.

Yeah looks pretty tidy.. only thing is the favicons next to the topic name (on the topic list). Definite thumbs down on that, they seem to have nothing to do with the topic...

On the latest topics?

If that is what you are referring to those aren't staying. That is someone else images.

It's just the numbers in the bubbles seem to be random...

I don't know how they teach you to count in the UK but here in the US we count 1,2,3,4,5.

And yes you're correct, those will be gone.

I think you know what i mean... it would get pretty stupid making those go all the way down to the bottom of our topic list... 8427, 8428...

The blue box under the avatar will be fixed, the signatures will all fit once I add the CSS resize code and I just created a quick logo for the forums.

Twitter/Facebook/RSS will be linked very soon!

nice Loving the recent topics thing btw, it means we can message a bit faster Instead of checking emails.

I'll post it here too, please make it a dark theme, this isn't appealing.
