Playing CA the past few days, for some reason my rail is hitting insane shots

That's 1 game. 1st of the day. Only 39%.... but was shooting in the 40's yesterday.

i know what you mean about special effects. I don't think you want to go overboard, especially on a gaming video. Video pad is relatively basic but has all you need (and is free) - it's what i use. Also if you want to get crazy with it all, download wolfcam ql... get those flowy video moves...

wolfcam is kinda hard to use... but im sure with a lil trial n error it would be worth it... also the clips would have to be done with the same config just to keep the flow of it smooth...

yeah wolfcam looks nuts... i don't have that much time. I tried getting some clips today... urgh i get the shittest quality fraps videos... it films at 10fps

set fraps to half size and 30fps i believe and it should be ok... full size will kill FPS if u dont have the power to handle it..

Record with no sound (can be added later), set fraps to default which is 29.something I believe....and try. You may see a frame drop in red, as you record...but that doesn't reflect the record rate.....thats just the fps WHILE recording. Older computers drop the frame rate during recording, but still record the proper frame rate. Check the end video.

I use to have an older computer that dropped record FPS to 15-8...but still captured at 29. The "best" frame rate to record, if you ave an amazing shoot. is 60....so slow-mo looks better. But either way, stay the default of 29 and test the recording.

oh yeah! it actually films at between 50-60 with those settings. Still looks jittery, but i guess it's the best you can get. how would you recommend recording the sound?

Most good vids dont use sound, or add later. It's up to you. If it can record sound and be stable, then do it. It can always be removed later..

And only shoot for over 30 fps if you need a real good slow-mo shot. Other then that, the eye sees 29 fps. That runs smooth and takes a lot less space.

It's funny watching you play because i like to play a lot faster, rocket jumping and strafing. I perfer to out run opponents then rocket and lg them rather than stay my distance. My rail isn't good enough to rely on long shots

(although you can't really keep your distance in 5v5 almost lost)

Rail is still solid I'm typically 35-50% most games. Although some games are in the upper 20's, but rare.
