*pWp*Fun*Server*

Well, the raz3r mod server 174.132.18.156:27960 didnt seem to grab any popularity, so....... FRoG, Mav, and I changed it

Now the server is set to a different point release and a new mod!

This server plays on 1.32c. If you only have 1.16, you will need to upgrade your point release and get a switcher. (so you will still be able to use 1.16 in zone and bootcamp)

Heres what you need to connect....

Do this in order. Falure to do so will not allow the switcher to work properly.

Download and install into the QUAKEIII root folder....not the baseq3 folder.

You will see after doing so that the baseq3 folder now has pk files 2-8.

After that is installed, you need to install the switcher. Download and install into the QUAKEIII root folder.... not the baseq3 folder.

Once that is installed, you will see the icon in the root folder of Quake. If you click that you will be able to pick which version of quake you want to run.

NOTE: Zone and Bootcamp run 1.16 and FunServer runs 1.32.

After those 2 things are installed, you need the game mod.

It's a fairly large file, but worth the wait. Download and install into the QUAKEIII root folder.... not the baseq3 folder.

Once that is installed, you should see a folder on quake 3 called "pow". If you see that folder, you should be good to go.

TROUBLE SHOOTING:

A few problems I have ran into. Iff you use nemesis, you will need to remove the nemesis files and place them on your desktop while playing 1.32, they are not compatiable. Also, note that noghost wont work either, although u can leave it in your baseq3.

Another problem I ran into was having the switcher not installed properly. If you have any types of problems, the best thing to do is start over. Delete the pk files 2-8 from your baseq3 folder. Go to your control panel and uninstall the switcher. Then reinstall in order as posted above.

NOTE: I put the mod as the last thing to install, but that can be installed at anytime. If you are having a problem connecting, SS or state the problem and we will do our best to fix it for you.

hell ya the maps are a lil bigger then what most are used to. but the executions are fucking WICKED!!!! i recommend EVERYONE get that mod downloaded, if u have trouble getting it going hit me up on XFire smokey42010 and i will give u teamviewer 3 and set it up for u remotely

im have to send frog or tad some old maps i use to play on which should be fun if everyone dls them..

well im having some problems with this, well i can get into 1.16 thru 1.31 but when i try to get into 1.32 i cant anymore ? i use to be able to now i cant,not sure why,but my screen says once i launch 1.32 and the ID screen pops up like normal but then all of a sudden a box appears and says q3 has to close send error or not.but anyways anyone might know why??

id say back up your configs and noghost/nemesis files, also any other pk3, (maps, skins, etc.) you have, then reinstall quake 3, then run the 1.32 point release after installation.. after that run the setup for the jbpow mod and then copy your configs back into the baseq3 and another one to the pow folder, then try to connect to the fun server, also, backup your too. make sure you have the ofx q3 switcher program as well, its a very helpful tool, any questions get me on xfire.

btw, this is what hool had to do as well, good luck

have 2 different installs of q3. one for .16 and another for .32

on your desktop make a folder. name it Quake 1.32
make a folder inside the 1.32 folder name it baseq3
go to your .16 baseq3 and find your pak0.pk3 file copy that
paste that into your 1.32 baseq3 folder
install the 1.32 point release & install jail break in the 1.32 folder.
