First topic message reminder :

Well, the raz3r mod server 174.132.18.156:27960 didnt seem to grab any popularity, so....... FRoG, Mav, and I changed it

Now the server is set to a different point release and a new mod!

This server plays on 1.32c. If you only have 1.16, you will need to upgrade your point release and get a switcher. (so you will still be able to use 1.16 in zone and bootcamp)

Heres what you need to connect....

Do this in order. Falure to do so will not allow the switcher to work properly.

Download and install into the QUAKEIII root folder....not the baseq3 folder.

You will see after doing so that the baseq3 folder now has pk files 2-8.

After that is installed, you need to install the switcher. Download and install into the QUAKEIII root folder.... not the baseq3 folder.

Once that is installed, you will see the icon in the root folder of Quake. If you click that you will be able to pick which version of quake you want to run.

NOTE: Zone and Bootcamp run 1.16 and FunServer runs 1.32.

After those 2 things are installed, you need the game mod.

It's a fairly large file, but worth the wait. Download and install into the QUAKEIII root folder.... not the baseq3 folder.

Once that is installed, you should see a folder on quake 3 called "pow". If you see that folder, you should be good to go.

TROUBLE SHOOTING:

A few problems I have ran into. Iff you use nemesis, you will need to remove the nemesis files and place them on your desktop while playing 1.32, they are not compatiable. Also, note that noghost wont work either, although u can leave it in your baseq3.

Another problem I ran into was having the switcher not installed properly. If you have any types of problems, the best thing to do is start over. Delete the pk files 2-8 from your baseq3 folder. Go to your control panel and uninstall the switcher. Then reinstall in order as posted above.

NOTE: I put the mod as the last thing to install, but that can be installed at anytime. If you are having a problem connecting, SS or state the problem and we will do our best to fix it for you.

agreed ed. the seperate installs are easy as hell. esp b/c i have two diff configs for a/w style play, and for rails. if anyone needs the install instructions, merky has a post at h$, for a seperate install. ill post link if needed.

great idea tad and frog, to toss the clan over to a diff mod. i played a lota cpma few months back, its a lot faster, and the players are better on average. kept me on my toes, keeps you away from nonstop rail boredom that ppl experience. and its hella fun too.
