Reports say Osama Bin Ladin was killed 1 week ago. It's also reported the US has position of his body.

For the US, it feels like a huge win, and in a way it should.... but....

Don't you think Al Qaeda wants to make a point that he wasn't the only thing that kept their group running? I personally am really happy he is gone.... But I think this is far from over.... and may get worse before it gets better.

WOOT that he's finally dead, but I agree, I'm sure he wasn't the only mastermind behind them. :/

Him being dead is great as an accomplishment.... but far from winning anything.

I'm pretty sure I remember reading he was just a figurehead nowadays, like a symbol. They even had the name of the current "mind" behind Al-Qaeda if I remember correctly. It was something terribly middle-easterny.

how much does the news lie? a lot. OR i should say they are misstating the facts.

Since they have multiple independent reports, video of him admitting he was behind 9/11, video of his compound, reports from other countries intelligence, photographic evidence, multiple eyewitness reports...... what do you think?

He has a huge point, they have a tendency to misstate certain things, tell 1 side of a story, leave out crucial facts to the side they're telling, and over-exaggerate the things they say. Not the best thing to get your facts on.

Only news I watch are The Daily Show With Jon Stewart and The Colbert Report, completely unbiased and they point out when the media does the things I said in the above lines

But theses are not just 1 report. Him taking credit for 9/11 was based on him making a video saying he did it. And his compound and death is being covered by everyone. Yes, they don't always get the news right.... hell, fox news fucked up facts AFTER Obama made his speech last night. (They said he was killed last week by a bomb, Obama said it was yesterday and it was reported it was by gunfire.... they kept reporting it was last week by a bomb for 2 hours after).... BUT, there will always be things we don't know, but these are not disputable facts. He admitted he was behind 9/11... he was living in a multi million dollar home.

His "admission" could have just been a ploy by the rest of Al Qaida(or however you spell it)

I didn't compare the 2 people..... I was showing evidence when someone admits something, is pretty solid...

"Hey, we had nothing to do with this, but lets say Osama did."
"Our leader Osama?"

"But won't he say it was us too?"
"Well ya, but thats part of the plan. We will force him to make multiple videos taking credit for 9/11 and that we were part of it which in turn will get the strongest military in the world after him and us. Its brilliant! They will never suspect a thing!!"
