Braille, Brother Ali, Aesop Rock, Apathy, Ill Bill, Necro, Slug, Ant.
Those are just a few white, very influential and intelligent hip hop artists. I'll give you a little back ground on all of them since you brought this up...
Braille: Don't know too much about him, but what I do know/heard he is an extremely well rounded artist with a killer flow and way above average lyrics. Underground artist.
Brother Ali: Albino and legally blind he still writes his rhymes on paper, and is also very good at doing freestyles. He really talks a lot about world issues, political issues, and issues with women being raped murdered and abused.
Aesop Rock: Just got into them, wish I knew more to be honest.
Apathy: From the group Army of the Pharoahs, he has a raw political/religious view on the world and is very strong in the art of freestyles. Amazing word play and metaphors.
Ill Bill: Beat producer and an amazing artist as well, though I just got into his raps a lot of his beats were used in Army of the Pharoahs albums.
Necro: Part of the "Horror-core Hip Hop" scene, he is really gritty with lyrics, mostly into death (thus being involved in horror core) and weirder things.
Atmosphere (slug & anthony): Atmosphere is based out of my home state of Minnesota, bringing up the Mid-West hip hop scene they influenced a lot of mid-west rappers one of them being Brother Ali. Versatile duo, that you just can't really..NOT listen to their music because it is so catchy, clever, and all out great.

Hopefully I cleared somethings up, Roach. You know just because people can be good at this art of poetry and being able to flow so fluently doesn't mean it is a bad music type...just because you think this doesn't mean it is right.
