Searching for a game

First topic message reminder :

Hey guys, i havent been around the gaming world in quite sometime, reason being i have a rather shitty internet connection and cannot play any online games otherwise i would still be around playing quake.

Ive been trying to find a new game to play but my search hasnt gotten me anywhere. Its been a few days and i still havent found THE game ive been looking for yet so im posting here hoping to find some help.

What im looking for is :

A single player (offline game)

A sandbox styled game with skills you need to work on (like on runescape or reddead redemption)

Gaming on Windows XP, a rather low performance laptop.

Its definitively worth the money! but hey cant go wrong with free ! I have a cracked version of 1.8, id like to get a newer crack once the game gets a little more developed or maybe even pay for it once i can get an internet connection that will allow it! If youre going to put your world up id deff take a look at it

yeah a friend showed it to me and i just bought it legit the next day its so worth the money, and you get a copy of the final game for free once its released too!

Im making a space shuttle on my single player (creative mode with world edit sp). Its gonna be pretty cool. i'll post the world folder when i'm done

I'll upload my board tonight or tomorrow. Its nothing amazing, but not bad I suppose.

I only want to see amazing, work on it and then upload ted. I want to be awed.

This is where I'm at so far. I haven't done a ton of mining, and don't have a lot stored....but I'm getting there. Considering I never played or really talked about the game with anyone who did.....not too bad I think.

Just unzip and put it in your saved games folder.

And if people start playing more, Ill make a section.

I'm already looking into a dedicated server if we get at least 4 or 5 people that play..

as far as the world goes, my advice is use more materials and be a bit more creative. Give creative mode a go and then use those ideas in survival, if you perfer.

e.g. Wooden planks feel a bit more homely than cobble stone.

and also, wooden planks, bricks, stone bricks or cobble stone placed in

formation in crafting gives you stairs

Server is up and running through Maverick. I will post the info soon.

I only got a 6 slot server for now, and it's in the US.... so let me know how the lag is, merk and EQ....and we can see if we need to move it.

And good luck finding all the houses I have made lol. I think there are 4 or 5...and they are all over the place. I enjoy exploring, as merk does seem to as well, so I often build, then pick up and move.

well im not sure i will go on much, as i perfer the creative aspect of minecraft more than the survival one. Can i ask is the server running on minecraft vanilla software or craft bukkit? if it is craft bukkit you can add plugins to it so easily its amazing... but you might not want that. You might consider an RPG one.

I will, for now, keep everything default. If we get more people then I can change if needed.

I prefer survival mode because it more of a game to me. Earning what you get and the exploration part is what I enjoy. I can look inside boxes and see all the stuff we found...I like that.

ok fair enough, but when i consider what i have achieved i cannot get past the idea of mining virtual blocks for virtual rewards. At least building is some form of creativity. But yeah, i will come and help you noobs out some time
