I'm liking this quite a bit. There is some things Black Ops had that I wish was in MW3, but there's some new stuff that makes it worth it.

To me it's not like "all other cod games". It's better then mw2, a bit better then BO.
You can take pretty much any game that has a squeal and say its the "same". It's not.
And as far as beating a dead horse....isn't that typically used to describe something that is being brought back over and over to people that don't want it?

I've always loved the singleplayer of the mw series but from what I've seen and what people are saying they aren't as happy as they could have been, probably because they are using the same engine so graphics are more or less the same or similar to mw2 although graphics doesn't make a game good the gameplay does, as far as that goes mw2 gameplay was good too, I think personally that BF3 is far superior in every way as far as a realistic shooter goes, other than for the "lone wolf" type of person. Regardless of what I think I'll probably still buy it once I get bored of BF3 and all the other new games coming out. I "acquired" Skyrim yesterday, I didn't buy it. I played it for literally 10 hours straight with just bathroom and snack breaks. Takes a very good game for me to be able to keep playing without realizing how long it's been lol.

All I pretty much play is kill confirmed Its one of the better game types i've played in cod. Only thing that kind of sucks with it is having a team that doesnt play the style. Played a game last night that my team destroyed them in kills about 2 to 1...but we lost by a lot because no one took dog tags lol. Was fun either way though.
I tried BF3 pre-release due to buying MoH, I believe. I didnt really care for it....but it was just the pre-release. I assume the full game is better.
The thing I don't understand is seeing so many people, on mw3 forums, complain about it being "mw2.5" or "they didnt change anything".... I own mw2...and yes it's a new version od a previous game.....that's why one is 2, and the other is named 3.
Quake used the quake engine. Quake 2 used the quake engine, so did quake 3, 4, live...... thats how it works. To me, every cod game is "the same" because they are all.....cod games. Every release they change the single player, up the graphics, add weapons, add game styles, and add more options/perks. This game is no different. They did all of that. Well, I'm gonna do a little comparison using my experiences.
Halo 3's multiplayer was a lot more fun than Halo 2's. Gears of War 3's multiplayer was a lot more fun than Gears of War 2's. The Call of Duty games(in general, not just the Modern Warfare games), while they're great for single player, and are fun for multiplayer, to me they just run together too much. It may not even be the game itself, but the players. You always run into noob-tubers, and 22 different styles of campers.
Granted, you get campers in Halo as well, but there are EASY ways around them(grab a turret and an overshield and just run at them, they're pretty screwed at that point), in Call of Duty, it's a little more difficult, unless you're damn good with a grenade(fortunately for me, I am :p).
But hey, since I'm me, I may get all the Modern Warfare games anyway, cuz I love having a full series of a game. I'm gonna do that with the Halos and Gears of Wars as well. It's a kind of "goal" I have, I guess you can say.

The biggest problem I have is the maps. I think the graphics are great, the flow is perfect.... but there almost too many options on where to move. I know that sounds petty, but its crazy to be in a small area that has 4 alleys connecting them at almost every turn.
As far as camping, I've never had much of an issue of it in any game (aside from q3 scrims). To me it's part of the game. In CoD you get the kill cam, so if someone is camping...you know where they are. Pretty easy really. Also, using the UAV helps. Well, although I hate tubers, I dislike game "restrictions" even more personally, cuz a lot of times they'll kick/ban you for simply using a ballistic knife, which to me, takes a good amount of skill to actually hit someone with, more than a noob tube anyway. But hey, that's just me.
But, like you, I have some preferred maps. In Quake, I've always loved dm3/Hearth, Call of Duty: Black Ops was Jungle, Gears of War 3 is Sandbar, and in Halo 3 it's High Ground.

Honestly COD compared to BF is kind of hard to do.
BF does have nice graphics but it is build more on game play and more realistic. COD is built on insane graphics that are way unrealistic BUT nice and the game play isn't as great. Just my opinion.
Notice all the damn textures have some kind of shine or gloss lol.

i bought the game two days ago, just beat the campaign mode on veteran literally an hour ago. but i still need to finish grabbing the rest of the hidden intel, though. :l i was wrong, mw3's single player is totally worth buying the game for, but multiplayer on ps3's already being ravaged by cheaters and glitchers, unfortunately. hopefully infinity ward fixes it soon.

Im about 1/2 way though SP.....I love it, just don't play it a lot since it takes more time at once then I usually have. The PC community seems good though. I have only seen 1 hacker so far, and it was just a wall hack. In BLOPS, typically it was always AF and WH.
It's odd though... I would think it would be a ton easier to patch out hacks on console then PC....but I see more complaints from console players in forums. Not sure how console hacking works though, so I may be wrong.

I never play tdm... So my kdr isnt important to me as much. Quite a few times I die just to draw people's fire. I just play for fun.
My main game is kill confirmed. I concentrate a lot on getting confirms and denies. Doing that leaves me open often. Considering how many denies I usually get, a 1 kdr is actually pretty good.
