i have a computer... that needs alot of work done...


how can i completely erase the hard drive???


formatting it dosent work and both of the hard drives that power the computer are completely dependant on each other...


i'm clueless on how to fix this problem so hopefully one of you can give me a hand =D

Just pour water all over it. If you can get some taco salsa, even better.

Im not sure, but I did hear salsa does clear drives.

lol you have no clue what this computer can survive...

i set it on fire like 5 times and even had a friend shoot it repeatedly and it is still alive

yeah use the wipe drive and completely erase the harddrive than re install windows and it should be running great

why cant u format? you have 2 partions right now? or two seperate drives? if you cant format you arent doing it right, or the drive is no good.

try wiping out the hard-drive. idk about PCs

Uhmmmm I might be ignorant But how are they dependent on eachother, as only one of the drives (C: probably) should have windows 'installed' into it. But i know nothing about computers so this might be moot.

why is formatting not an option? if u really wonna erase everything u should format disc. are u shure u have 2 hard drives????
i guess u have \C: and \D: disc. well this does not nesseserly mean that u have 2 hard discs. u could have only 2 partitions (1 disc separated in 2 parts). usually on first 1 is are program files, windows, and all other softwere stuff needed for comp to run normally. on the seccond 1 is your personall stuff. there is an option to erase only 1 partition ( so for example windows ...disc - C: ) and u keep your current files.
if u have 2 discs, things get a lil bit complicated. u have to know on which 1 u have hardwere stuff ( i guess u have an virus so that is why u wonna erase the disc). in BIOS (program that runs before u get in windows when u start your comp.) u can see the function of each of the discs.

i think they can only depend on each other if you got some sorta fault tolerant system like RAID or disk mirroring, but even then the point is so if one harddrive fails you have everything still on the other disc, or other partitions in the same disc, but this isnt normally the setup for a PC. Ive never heard of the OS not being all in the same partition, which means its on 1 disk. IT would be fortunate that you have multiple partitions, one for OS, one for data, so that you wouldnt loose all your files from new OS instalation. and even if you have to format everything, there is data recovery software for free that will bring back deleted files, formating basically just destroys the list of where everything is at, and they you start overwriting things, it doesnt make everything a 0, this is the reason why you arent alllowed to throw harddrives in teh garbage without a real wipe.

totally agree. data can still be recovered from harddisc.
if u wonna erase all throw hd in watter or put a magnet on hd XD
