Urban Terror

Thanx to comp for pushing me to try Urban Terror......Im addicted!

Frog and I have been playing alot the past few hours and both agree its an amazing game, alot of fun. I have talked to a few clans about joining, but I would like to see if pwp and others want to give it a look. I searched online servers, came up with over 1800. At 5 am theres a ton of ppl on.

Super fun game, fun times. If you havent played, you better!

www.quakeunity.com is the site to get it. 700 megs so not a small game. All settings and cfgs are same as quake. It uses the quake 3 engine.

Ill ask around BK and see if I can find the prob. Just my 1st thought, did u install it in its own folder? (not quake folder) And also I read that the game uses 1.32 PR pak files, I assume you have to have those installed as well.

upadate ur drivers for your Graphics from the MANUFACTURE NOT MICROSIFT UPDATE and it should fix ya little delima i had to do that for my ATI Radeon graphics on my other tower. i went straight to the website and got em , installed, rebooted.... BING perfection quake opened right up and ran ever sense

Bk your graphics card isn't superior enough, i have the same prob on my laptop.

lol i had this exact problem trying to load certain maps with frog on his server, I could connect to some just fine but others I can't and it was the CFG cuz when I joined the same maps with default cfg it worked but that was in just q3, and I use standalone urban not through quake so I dunno but that may help some

Post what kind of graphics card u have and i will find the correct drivers for them cause sometimes other sites "claim" to have the right ones but in the end they are not, so please post the make and model of your graphics card . If u have no idea on where to find that info then get with me on X Fire and ill help ya find out.

The cfg in UrT is very close to the same as Q3. Heres a command list (bout 1/4 the way down). Try different visual settings untill your machine can handle it.

Try here man, Run the one that's under Automatically Find Graphics Drivers and it will tell u if there has been an update to the chip u have or not.

awesome gamescomp. You were on fire that last game. I just couldnt get it together lol.

It won't let me download it for some odd reason. O.o When I try and run the .exe, the confirmation box will appear, and from there I hit "run" but nothing happens... Although in my task manager it says that the process is running, there are no icons, boxes, or ANY type of signals telling me if it's even downloading or where...
